6000 people, 10 cities, 16 years of conversations
Much like the travelers of old at a caravanserai, we gather to learn about people, places and ideas. We have been doing this since the mid-2000s in several cities across South East and East Asia.
I travel a lot myself, and people often ask me travel questions I can't fully answer on my own. So instead of pretending to know everything, I built this community where we learn from each other's experiences. We started with travel, but these days the conversations range across learning, new ideas, and whatever's on people's minds.
We meet online and in-person, and keep the meets open to all and free, choosing accessible venues like libraries, schools and inexpensive cafes. We explore our cities and the ethnic neighbourhoods within, and connect with people traveling through our cities.
